Fit talk:
Forbidden Druid V2
The team behind B.C.-based Forbidden Bikes are well-known for pushing design boundaries, building singletrack-shredding machines for riders who push real-world boundaries off roads. So which saddle did they choose for both their short-travel Trail model, Druid, and their Enduro-ready Dreadnought? Read on to find out.

FIZIK Why did you choose Terra Alpaca saddle for this specific bike?
JL We spec the Fizik Alpaca on all our trail and all-mountain models. Before choosing the Alpaca, we tested a number of saddles, and some riders liked certain models, while others did not. The Alpaca offers a universal level of comfort which seems difficult for saddle designers to achieve.
FIZIK Choosing a saddle for a bike when you don’t know the end user isvery difficult. Could you tell us more on your bike/saddle match selection process?
JL Forbidden bikes have a diverse customer base, so all components must be fit for various use cases. With saddles, they have to be comfortable on a three-hour trail ride, yet durable enough to be used for gravity and bike-park use. The Fizik Alpaca is ideal for both our Druid and Dreadnought models due to its level of comfort and compact design with rounded wings that do not cause discomfort when it's lowered for descending.
“The Alpaca offers a universal level of comfort which seems difficult for saddle designers to achieve.”
FIZIK What’s your favorite bike ever?
JL The Druid V2. Of course, I'm biased, but it's a 130mm bike that won at the highest level in Enduro. I think there's a magic to it.
FIZIK Any cool project you’re working on that you can share some details on?
JL Ha! We're constantly working on new models and ideas. One of them may have shorter travel than our current offerings.
